Today was definitely going to be uncertain for everyone around. As a secondary school student I found it difficult to accept the fact that today probably would have been the last day I could spend with my friends in person. We took a number of photos together, reminiscing other times that we’ve had and trying to recreate photos from a while back. There were lots of tears all round and everyone found it quite hard to accept.
Our head announced in an assembly that we wouldn’t be coming in tomorrow. We were told to clear out our lockers and try to embrace the hours we had with our friends until we had to socially distance. We played bench ball in the sports hall and listened to music (songs chosen by me – injury) and everyone had a blast.
We will all look back on this day and smile. It was a good day. Despite what is going on at the moment.
When I got home, I face-timed some friends and we agreed to try to face time as much as possible.
